Botswana - Fact File

MAP  II  PARKS  II  ITINERARIES

The name Botswana was adopted by the Setswana speaking majority when the country (erstwhile Bechuanaland) became an independent Republic in 1966.

Botswana has set aside close to 40% of its land area for wildlife. Given this scale of commitment, Botswana follows a strict policy of quality over quantity where visitors are concerned. A trip to Botswana is not for budget travelers, especially in the Okavango Delta. This should not deter clients who are content with viewing what Botswana's most popular park - Chobe - has to offer; and it is plenty.

For those with the right budget, you will quickly realise the meaning of the word, exclusivity. The camps and lodges in the Delta, Pans and the Kalahari are in pristine areas. There is a good chance of you being among a handful of human beings in the company of wild animals.

Other than wildlife game drives, we organise; luxury houseboat stay, river safaris, luxury flying safaris, mokorro rides, glamping, day trips to Victoria Falls and helicopter rides.
